Since 1982, American Transmission has been owned and operated by Keith Segars, a retired ARCA RE/MAX Series race car driver whose career reflects a lifelong dedication to performance and mechanical excellence. With decades of experience in transmission remanufacturing and repair, Keith built American Transmission on a foundation of technical precision, accountability, and real-world expertise.
What began as a transmission repair operation has grown into one of the region’s most comprehensive transmission remanufacturing and automotive service facilities. Today, American Transmission supports individual drivers, independent repair shops, fleet operators, and commercial accounts across Florida, Puerto Rico, and nationwide through its distribution network.
American Transmission is not simply a repair shop. We remanufacture the transmissions we service. That distinction gives us a deeper understanding of failure patterns, component weaknesses, and performance demands across virtually every make and model on the road.
